Christmas 2010

Feather Family Christmas 2010
Our Home
Decorated for Christmas
after a small snow.
December 18-19, 2010- Feather Family Christmas
We celebrated our Christmas w/ the Feather's.
On Saturday we met Uncle Craig, Aunt Betsy & cousin Mason
for Breakfast w/ Santa.
Landon was a little hesistant, but did well.
While Liam tried to pull off Santa's beard.
Landon asked Santa for a space rocket like Buzz Lightyear.
Afterwards, I asked Landon what he asked Santa for. He told me
and then said 'but Santa did not have any and gave me
ca andy cane, paper, pencil, and a cow eraser'.
I am constantly reminded by Landon how children view the world.
He thought that by asking Santa for what he wanted, he would get it
right then and there. Mommy had to explain
to Landon that children ask Santa for what they want and wish for
and then Santa tells his Elves at the North Pole and
good little boys and girls get what they wish for on Christmas morning.

After our breakfast with Santa we visited with and

opened gifts with Pappy, Grammy, Uncle Craig, Aunt Betsy & cousin Mason.

Proud Grandparents w/ their Grandsons.

Homemade Baby Foods for Liam

I began making homemade baby food for Liam this week.
I've been waiting until he got the hang of eating before beginning to make it & we are finally there!
He went from turning away from the spoon to crying & protesting between bites!
So far I've made bananas-which he loves!
I did some research and read to add lemon juice into the bananas so that they wouldn't turn brown (which they did when I made Landon's baby food) & it def works!

I've also made sweet potatoes. He likes them. Still trying to work out the consistency of them, they are a little thick, but I added Mommy milk and it helped.

I now have 2 bags full of containers in the freezer and 2 bags full in the fridge.

Looking forward to making more-hoping to make green beans, peas, peaches, pears, avocado, etc.

Happy 7 Months Liam!

Liam-

You are Seven Months old today! What have you been up too? You are wearing 9-12 month clothing and stage 4 diapers. You are drinking 8 ounces of Mommy’s milk/formula-can’t keep up with you! You take a bottle every 4 hours during the day & since you’ve been sleeping through the night, you take a bottle before bed, between 7:30-8pm and when you wake up, between 6-7am. You weighed 21 pounds and11 ounces on November 18th. You recently, like last week, started eating solids consistently-yay!! You have eaten rice cereal, oatmeal, pears, bananas, sweet peas, carrots and sweet potatoes. You made a funny face w/ the sweet peas, but ate them. You are still on your medicine for the reflux, but Mommy & Daddy
are hoping to take you off of it soon.
You are still drooling & chewing on everything, including your fingers. We’ve felt around & can’t feel any teeth yet. You have had a runny nose and congestion on and off again throughout this past month. You love to smile! Your whole face lights up! I love coming into your room in the morning & watching you look at me for the first time, you smile & melt my heart. I love your big blue eyes.
You are beginning to sit up longer on your own. You are rolling throughout the room and become upset when you get stuck. Your favorite toys are a caterpillar,frog-which was Landon’s favorite too, a ball, duck, any rattle and a monkey-which Uncle Davey gave you.

You kick your legs like crazy while lying on your changing table and/or while playing on the floor.

You like to play peek-a-boo. You love to watch Landon

run throughout the house. Your little head turns each time he runs past you.

You like when we sing the "I Love You" song from Barney.

We’ve had another busy month. You & Landon had your Christmas pictures taken. You went to your first skating party, with your friends from your former daycare-Alexis, Jared, Luke and Levi-which you loved watching all of the kids skate.

You went to your First Christmas Parade.

You visited with the Kelly family for lunch and a playdate a park.

We've enjoyed a lot more snuggle time in the evenings.
You enjoyed your First Thanksgiving w/ your family.

You visited with the Feather family.

You saw your First Dead Deer-Daddy shot a 9 point.
You went to the Tree Farm for your First Christmas Tree. It was the coldest day of the season, so you were all bundled up!

You helped decorate your First tree.

Love you Liam!! Excited for your First Christmas & the holiday season!
