Aunt Connie & Uncle Jeff helped us on Tuesday evening by watching the boys while I was recovering from my surgery & Aaron & my parents were there visiting me. While taking a walk with Uncle Jeff, Gruv, Landon took an unexpected tumble. He was imitating Gruv, walking with his hands in his pockets, was looking up at Gruv & just fell, flat on his face, on the pavement. So when Aaron arrived home, Landon was holding an ice pack to his mouth. Little guy does things good-he had a fat upper lip & knocked one of his front teeth loose.
On Wednesday Aaron called the pediatrician and they advised that he contact a dentist. He contacted our dentist, knowing that he wouldn't be able to get in w/ Landon's dentist in Frederick, and they were able to see him at 1:30pm.
Aaron had a busy morning-took the boys to Nana's, came to the hospital & helped me through the discharge process, stopped up on the 5th floor to meet Emily Grace Rockwell (born on 10-5 at 1:24pm-weighing 7 lbs & 10oz), stopped at Target to drop off Mommy's prescription for some good meds, ran into Alison, who drove Mommy home. Daddy went to pick up Landon & take him to the dentist.
Landon met Dr. Hughes for the first time. Daddy explained to Dr. Hughes that Landon's Uncle was one of her favorite patients, David Crider. Dr. Hughes then pieced us all together-she see's Pappy, Nana, Uncle Davey, Mommy, Daddy & now Landon. Dr. Hughes was very gentle w/ Landon & Landon did very well for her. She explained to Aaron that at this point, nothing needs to be done to the tooth. Landon is supposed to be very careful w/ the tooth, trying to chew his foods in his side & back teeth. She said that the tooth may change to a black color or it may strengthen on it's own, that baby teeth are very resilient. He has a follow-up appointment in a few weeks to check the tooth again.
Landon is doing well with the tooth. His upper lip isn't as swollen and his scab area looks better.
