Liam's Two Month Wellness Check

Liam has his Two Month wellness check this past week. We met with Dr. Hannagan. Liam weighed in at 14 pounds & 6 ounces-which places him in the 90th percentile. He was 23 & 1/2 inches long-which places him in the 59th percentile. He now has rolls on his upper legs, his arms & he has a double chin-which I love!!

Dr. Hannagan completed her exam and Mommy asked her gazillion questions. He received 3 immunizations and one orally. He did really well-was very happy & smiling & then the nurse jabbed him in his little chunky legs. He screamed for a brief minute or two & then was smiley & happy again.

Dr. Hannagan increased Liam's Zantac, due to his weight gain. I don't want to jinx anything, but he has been a little better with the painful screams the last two days. He is still spitting up-this morning he got Daddy, himself, a pillow, his glider & the carpet....it was a huge amount of spit up!

He will go in September for his 4 Month Wellness check.

Liam's Two Months

Liam-

You are TWO months old! What have you been up too?

You are drinking 5 ounces of Mommy's milk every 3-6 hours. You love eating. Last week on vacation you went 9 hours of sleeping without waking to feed, I think it was all of that beach time that tired you out! You are my little chunky monkey now-you are beginning to get a double chin & rolls on your upper legs-love it!

You are wearing Stage 2 diapers. You are usually awake for at least 30 minutes after a feeding, unless it's a night-time feeding. Sometimes you are awake for a few hours during a night-time feeding. You are a gassy baby. Mommy & Daddy feel bad for you when you have the gas pains-your little belly tightens up, you scream (really loudly), you draw your legs up to your tummy & kick them in & out. Sometimes you are able to be calmed down and soothed, but other times we have to let you cry it out. You were on medication for acid reflux. Mommy isn't convinced that it's working yet. You are still spitting up during feedings and seem in pain afterwards-sometimes a few minutes later, sometimes an hour later. You have your two-month wellness check this coming week, so Mommy hopes the pediatrician can answer our questions & help you be in less pain.

You are Smiling now!! You are beginning to notice more while you are looking around. You will stare at your mirror on your seat & smile at yourself. You are also beginning to coo & talk-Love it! You are holding your head up for longer periods of time, without bobbling as much.

You love lying on Daddy's chest, but don't enjoy tummy time on the floor quite as much.

You love being in your swing, especially when you are fussy & Mommy & Daddy can't seem to do anything else. You love car rides & being in your seat. You love being outside & if you were awake, you don't stay that way very long. You enjoy playing tennis w/ Daddy & Landon.

You are such a blessing to our lives. We Love You!!
